IL HB2535

Extends the deadline for filing property assessment appeals from 30 calendar days to 60 calendar days after assessment list publication in counties with populations under 3,000,000, but only when the appeal includes a land appraisal prepared by a licensed Illinois real estate appraiser.

Requires the assessment list publication notice to inform taxpayers of the extended 60-day deadline if their appeal contains a professional appraisal, alongside the standard 30-day deadline for appeals without appraisals.

Applies to Section 12-10 (publication of assessments) and Section 16-55 (complaint procedures) of the Property Tax Code.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
