Amends Section 113-4 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to expand the information courts must explain to defendants before accepting a guilty plea.

Courts must now inform defendants of the maximum and minimum penalties for the offense, replacing the previous requirement to explain only general consequences.

Courts must advise defendants that a conviction or guilty plea may result in increased sentences for future convictions or higher likelihood of consecutive sentences.

Courts must explain that a conviction or guilty plea may impose registration requirements restricting where defendants can work, live, or be present.

Courts must inform defendants that conviction or guilty plea may impact their ability to obtain housing, employment, firearms, occupational licenses, or driver's licenses.
