IL HB2642

Amends the Labor and Storage Lien Act and the Labor and Storage Lien (Small Amount) Act to require written notice by certified mail to the lienholder of record before imposing storage fees on a vehicle.

Notice must include the rate at which storage fees will be incurred and must provide the lienholder with an opportunity to inspect the vehicle at its storage location.

Lienholders may pay storage fees in cash, cashier's check, certified check, or wire transfer, at their option.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
