• Agendas and materials for regular meetings must be posted at least 72 hours in advance; special or emergency meetings require 24 hours notice, with meeting minutes posted within 72 hours of approval.

• Within one year, local governments and school districts must create searchable, downloadable expenditure and revenue databases updated monthly, including recipient names, amounts, funding sources, dates, and purpose descriptions.

• Residents may file suit in circuit court to compel compliance, with courts authorized to impose penalties and award reasonable attorney's fees to the citizen bringing the action.

• Home rule units cannot adopt less restrictive posting requirements than this section, and all records must remain posted in perpetuity; the State Mandates Act exempts local governments from state reimbursement for implementation costs.
