IL HB2729

Defines "veteran" as any person honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces, reserve components, or National Guard of any state or territory.

Requires all Illinois public universities to deem veterans Illinois residents for tuition purposes regardless of their actual state of residence.

Applies the veteran tuition benefit to the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
