IL HB2788

Adds the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) to the list of accreditors whose standards the Department of Public Health will accept for health care plan quality management compliance, alongside NCQA, URAC, and JCAHO.

Permits the Director of Public Health to recognize other accreditation entities with substantially similar or more stringent standards than those already specified.

Requires the Department to recognize AAAHC as an accreditor for utilization review organizations and allows them to qualify for reduced registration and renewal fees.

Allows the Director to certify alternative utilization review standards from national accreditation organizations that meet or exceed URAC standards.
