School districts must review and update all policies regarding attendance, absenteeism, and truancy every 2 years, beginning upon the effective date of this act.

Districts shall use existing data from the previous 360 regular attendance school days for all students subject to compulsory attendance to inform policy updates.

Each district must create and distribute administrative procedure manuals implementing updated policies to all schools within the district, including charter schools, upon school board approval.

Updated policies and administrative procedure manuals must be made available on the district's Internet website.

Notice of the availability of updated policies and administrative procedure manuals must be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the school district on or before September 30 every 2 years.
