IL HB3267

Amends the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 by adding language to Section 5-715 (Probation) and Section 5-740 (Placement; legal custody or guardianship).

Specifies that nothing in probation or placement provisions shall be construed to confer jurisdiction or authority on the juvenile court to issue orders requiring appointed guardians or custodians to place minors in designated foster homes or facilities.

Adds subsection (7) to Section 5-715 clarifying that probation conditions cannot be used to mandate specific foster home placements by guardians or custodians.

Adds subsection (7) to Section 5-740 with identical language restricting juvenile court authority over placement decisions made by appointed guardians or legal custodians.
