IL HB3414

Amends the Park District Code Section 8-10b to allow any single park district and another unit of local government to jointly establish recreational programs for the handicapped.

Removes the previous limitation that restricted such joint action to counties with a population of 300,000 or less.

Authorizes park districts, municipalities, and recreation boards to enter into agreements for establishment, maintenance, and management of joint recreational programs for handicapped individuals.

Allows agreements to include provisions for transportation, budget approval, expense sharing, facility location, real estate acquisition, and employment of program directors and professional workers.

Permits one participating municipality or district to employ and supply professional workers for joint programs conducted in other participating municipalities or districts, with reimbursement on a mutually agreed basis.
