Public Act 099-0358 amends the College and Career Success for All Students Act to establish Advanced Placement examination credit policies at Illinois public universities and community colleges beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year.

Advanced Placement exam scores of 3, 4, and 5 must be accepted for credit to satisfy degree requirements by all institutions of higher education, with each institution determining whether credit applies to electives, general education, or major requirements.

The Board of Higher Education and Illinois Community College Board must analyze each institution's AP credit policies and research by the end of the 2019-2020 academic year and submit findings and recommendations to the General Assembly and Governor.

Each institution of higher education must publish its updated Advanced Placement examination score credit policy on its website before the start of the 2016-2017 academic year.

The act takes effect upon becoming law.
