IL HB3434

Amends the Illinois Local Library Act Section 4-10 to modify financial reporting requirements for municipal library boards of trustees.

Removes requirement that library boards include financial requirements and proposed tax levy amounts in their annual fiscal year reports to local government authorities.

Adds new separate requirement for municipal library boards to submit financial requirements and proposed tax levy amounts to the city council, board of trustees, or board of town trustees at least 60 days before tax levy can be made.

Requires municipal library boards to file the financial statement with both the local government authority and the Illinois State Library.

Effective upon becoming law.
