• Department of the Lottery must offer a special instant scratch-off game beginning January 1, 2016 (or as soon thereafter as practical) to benefit autism research.

• Net revenue from the autism scratch-off game shall be deposited into the Autism Research Checkoff Fund for funding research on autism detection, prevention, screening, and treatment.

• Defines "net revenue" as total ticket sales minus prize payouts and actual administrative expenses directly related to the scratch-off game.

• Department may not unreasonably reduce marketing efforts for other instant scratch-off lottery games while the autism research game is in operation.

• Department may adopt rules as necessary to implement and administer the autism research scratch-off game; this section takes precedence over conflicting provisions of the Illinois Lottery Law.
