IL HB3573

Amends the Humane Care for Animals Act to prohibit selling, offering for sale, bartering, or giving away dyed, colored, or artificially treated hermit crabs or goldfish as pets or novelties.

Adds hermit crabs and goldfish to existing prohibitions that already covered rabbits, baby chicks, ducklings, and other fowl that have been artificially colored.

Establishes that a first violation is a Class B misdemeanor, with second or subsequent violations classified as Class 4 felonies.

Provides that each day a violation continues constitutes a separate offense.
