IL HB3597

Amends the University of Illinois Act to require the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to conduct a study of public elementary and secondary school buildings closed within 5 years before the effective date of this amendment.

Study must determine how many closed school buildings have remained schools, how many have been successfully redeveloped, and how many are vacant.

University shall report findings and recommendations for facilitating successful redevelopment of closed school buildings to the General Assembly.
