Individuals with a youth hunting license may use a crossbow during the first half of the regular deer archery season as annually determined by the Director.

Youth crossbow hunters must remain under direct supervision of an adult 21 years of age or older who possesses a valid archery deer permit.

Youth hunters must obtain a "Deer Hunting Permit" issued by the Department with express permission of an adult 21 years of age or older.

Amends the Wildlife Code by adding Section 2.5a to authorize youth crossbow use for deer hunting.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
