HB3837 Summary

• Amends the Recreational Trails of Illinois Act to add a new exception to Off-Highway Vehicle Usage Stamp requirements.

• Operators of off-highway vehicles no longer need to display an Off-Highway Vehicle Usage Stamp when operating on any private land with the permission of the land owner.

• Adds this new provision as subsection (2.5) to existing exemptions that already include government-owned vehicles, family-owned land, competition circuits, and commercial uses.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
