IL HB4028

Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act to extend the contract cancellation period for consumers age 65 and older from 3 business days to 15 business days.

Applies to sales of merchandise valued at $25 or more made by a seller physically present at the consumer's residence.

Requires sellers to provide consumers with a completed notice of cancellation in the same language used in the sales presentation, containing information about the extended cancellation rights for seniors.

Expands all related notice requirements, contract language, and unlawful practice provisions to reflect the 15-day cancellation period for senior consumers.

Takes effect January 1, 2016.
