• Upon federal approval, the Department of Healthcare and Family Services must provide coverage and reimbursement for FDA-approved pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) drugs and related services for HIV prevention, including HIV and sexually transmitted infection screening, treatment, medical monitoring, and counseling for individuals at high risk of HIV infection.

• Adds breast tomosynthesis (three-dimensional breast imaging) to the definition of low-dose mammography covered under medical assistance programs effective with the bill's passage.

• Effective January 1, 2017.
