Requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation or a designated testing service to administer the certified shorthand reporter examination at least 5 times per year.

Establishes minimum examination performance standards: applicants must record and transcribe general dictation at 200 words per minute for 5 minutes at 85% accuracy.

Establishes minimum examination performance standards: applicants must record testimony in 2 voices at 225 words per minute for 5 minutes at 85% accuracy.

Amends the Illinois Certified Shorthand Reporters Act of 1984 by modifying Sections 10 and 11 to specify examination frequency and performance requirements.
