Amends Section 356z.8 of the Illinois Insurance Code to require coverage for preventative physical therapy for multiple sclerosis patients under group and individual health insurance policies and managed care plans.

Coverage must be provided without any treatment limitation or calendar year maximum for medically necessary preventative physical therapy prescribed by a licensed physician.

Defines preventative physical therapy as treatment for body parts affected by multiple sclerosis that includes reasonably defined goals such as sustaining functional levels, with periodic evaluation of therapy effectiveness.

Coverage is subject only to the same deductible and coinsurance requirements as other physical or rehabilitative therapy benefits, removing waiting periods, cost sharing limitations, treatment limitations, and calendar year maximums.

Applies to policies amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date of this 99th General Assembly act.
