Amends the Public Construction Bond Act to clarify that verified notice of claims must be filed within 180 days after the date of the last item of work or materials furnished to either the State or a political subdivision.

Requires claimants to file verified notice with the appropriate government agency and provide a copy to the contractor within 10 days of filing with the agency.

Permits claimants to serve verified notice by personal service or certified mail with return receipt requested, with the notice deemed filed on the date of personal service or mailing.

Specifies that verified notice must include claimant's name and address, contractor name, employer or supplier information, description of the public improvement, work performed, and total unpaid amount due.

Establishes a one-year statute of limitations for filing actions on construction bonds and specifies that such actions must be brought in the circuit court of the judicial circuit where the contract is to be performed.
