School districts must report all reliable assessments administered to students to the State Board of Education by the 30th day of each school year, beginning with 2016-2017.

Reportable assessments include those scored by non-district entities and administered statewide or beyond Illinois, such as NWEA, Scantron, STAR Reading, SAT, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and ACT EPAS tests.

Districts must report the assessment administration window, requiring entity, grade levels tested, student subsets affected, estimated completion time, and any non-instructional uses such as promotion, placement, graduation, teacher evaluation, or school ratings.

The State Board of Education shall compile reported information and make it publicly available; schools must also provide the information to parents and guardians through their district website or paper distribution.

The State Board of Education may adopt rules necessary to implement the assessment reporting requirements.
