IL HB6169

Amends the Labor and Storage Lien Act and Labor and Storage Lien (Small Amount) Act to require entities imposing vehicle storage fees to notify the lienholder of record by certified mail before assessing or accruing fees.

Storage fee notice must include the rate at which fees will be incurred and provide the lienholder an opportunity to inspect the vehicle at the storage premises.

Lienholder may pay storage fees in cash, cashier's check, certified check, or wire transfer at the lienholder's option.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
