IL HB6252

Adds a new subsection (i) to Section 10-22.31 of the School Code allowing a specific elementary school district (maintaining grades K-8, with 2014-2015 average daily attendance of 5,209.57 and 2014 equalized assessed valuation between $451,500,000 and $452,000,000) to withdraw from a 6-district special education joint agreement.

Permits the identified district to withdraw upon submission and approval of a comprehensive plan under Section 14-4.01, school board approval, and notification to the joint agreement's governing board with at least 60 days' notice before the effective withdrawal date.

Requires the governing board of the joint agreement to distribute withdrawal notification to member districts and initiate appropriate allocation of assets and liabilities among remaining members to take effect on the withdrawal date.

Removes reference language to "subsection (g)" in the withdrawal procedures section, streamlining the text regarding withdrawal procedures consistency.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
