IL HB6620

Amends the Illinois Pension Code Section 16-152.1 regarding the Downstate Teachers Article to prohibit employers from making employee pension contributions on behalf of employees, except to facilitate pre-tax contributions.

Prohibits the new restrictions from applying to employment contracts or collective bargaining agreements already in effect on the bill's effective date, but any such agreements that are subsequently modified, amended, renewed, or remain in effect 3 or more years after enactment shall be subject to the prohibition.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
