Trooper Doris was shot in the head by a suspect driver while filling out a speeding ticket on U.S. 45; the suspect was apprehended and convicted of murder

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation to erect plaques or signs at suitable locations along the memorial highway consistent with state and federal regulations

Directs copies of the resolution be presented to Trooper Doris's family, the Illinois State Police, local officials, and the Illinois Department of Transportation
