Designates the portion of Broadway from Washington Avenue to Monument Street in Alton as "Fast Eddie Way" in honor of Edward Royce "Fast Eddie" Sholar, Sr.

Edward Sholar, Sr. was born August 16, 1953 at Scott Air Force Base hospital and graduated from Alton High School in 1971.

Sholar was a business owner and operator in Alton, most notably of Fast Eddie's Bon Air, and was known as a generous community icon.

Illinois Department of Transportation is requested to erect plaques or signs at suitable locations marking the new street name, consistent with state and federal regulations.

Copies of the resolution are to be presented to the Secretary of Transportation and the Sholar family.
