Illinois applies to Congress under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call a convention of states limited to proposing constitutional amendments on fiscal restraints, federal power limitations, and congressional term limits.

Secretary of State directed to transmit copies of the application to the President, Congress leadership, all federal representatives from Illinois, and presiding officers of state legislatures in all states.

Application constitutes a continuing request that remains in effect until at least two-thirds of state legislatures submit applications on the same subject.
