Craig Whisenand was born May 24, 1971 in Peoria and worked as a corrections officer at Tazewell County Jail starting April 14, 2000, and as a Deputy Sheriff with Tazewell County Sheriff's Department starting February 10, 2005

Whisenand was killed in the line of duty on August 11, 2015 while responding to a call

Requests the Illinois Department of Transportation to erect plaques or signs at suitable locations identifying the memorial highway in compliance with state and federal regulations

Directs distribution of resolution copies to Whisenand's family, Tazewell County Sheriff's Department, City of Tremont Mayor, and Illinois Department of Transportation Secretary
