Designates the third Saturday of August in 2015 as "Spirit of '45 Day" in Illinois to commemorate the end of World War II on August 14, 1945.

Encourages Illinois citizens to remember both military service members and home front supporters during World War II.

Acknowledges that more than 400,000 Americans died in World War II and recognizes the national effort that defeated aggression, freed subjugated nations, and ended the Holocaust.

Honors the World War II generation as a model of national unity, civic engagement, volunteerism, and community service that continues to inspire current and future generations.
