Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210, which operates four high schools in New Lenox and Frankfort, was placed on the Illinois State Board of Education's 2015 Financial Watch List.

The House directs the Auditor General to conduct a performance audit of the District by entering into an intergovernmental agreement, working around constitutional limitations that restrict the Auditor General's authority to State agencies only.

The audit must examine the District's revenue sources and expenditures for Fiscal Years 2005-2015, including the amount and uses of General State Aid received during that period.

The audit must assess whether the Board of Education and Superintendent met fiduciary responsibilities including superintendent evaluations, financial reviews, audits, long-term planning, and compliance with the School Code regarding fund investments, procurement, contracts, and construction activities.

Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 is responsible for paying the Auditor General's costs for conducting the audit, and must cooperate fully with the audit process.
