Acknowledges purebred dogs' roles in human endeavors including herding, hunting, police work, military service, guiding the blind, assisting the disabled, and providing medical research benefits

Notes that purebred dog breeds represent living history of human-canine evolution and partnership, with over 80 million dogs in U.S. homes

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the American Kennel Club and Illinois Federation of Dog Clubs and Owners
