Honors the memory of Eugene "Gene" Moore, former Illinois State Representative, following his death.

Moore was elected Proviso Township trustee in 1989 and became the first African-American elected to represent the 7th District in the Illinois House, serving three terms and elected to a fourth.

Served as Cook County Recorder of Deeds from 1999 to 2012, and remained active in political mentorship and community affairs afterward.

Served as a football and basketball coach, church member at Second Baptist Church in Maywood, and board member for organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of West Cook County and the John C. Vaughns Scholarship Fund.

Directs the Illinois House of Representatives to present a copy of the resolution to Moore's family as an expression of sympathy; Moore is survived by three children: Dowanna, Natalie, and Eric.
