Illinois House of Representatives congratulates the Northlake Fire Protection District on its 75th anniversary in 2016.

Northlake Fire Protection District was organized in 1941 and serves approximately 7,500 residents in a four square mile area located 18 miles west of Chicago and four miles south of O'Hare Airport.

District employs 19 full-time and 9 part-time firefighters operating from one station with equipment including one ladder truck, one engine, two ambulances, and two utility vehicles, providing fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and hazardous material response.

District held a 75th anniversary open house celebration on June 25, 2016 at the Northlake Fire Protection District station.

House directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to Fire Chief Rob Hjelmgren as a symbol of esteem and respect.
