Held swam the third leg of the U.S. Men's 4x100 freestyle relay, maintaining the lead after receiving from Michael Phelps and passing to Nathan Adrian

Held was a four-time Central State Eight Conference Swimmer of the Year, broke the Illinois High School Association State meet record in the 50-yard freestyle during his senior year, and was named Illinois Swimmer of the Year in 2014
