Congratulates the Norwood Park Fire Protection District on its 75th anniversary on August 25, 2016.

Recognizes the district's history beginning with services from Walter E. Schoenfeld's garage at 4318 Ottawa Street and the establishment of the first official fire station in 1947 at Montrose Avenue and Ottawa Street.

Notes the district's transition from volunteer to full-time operations, with the first full-time Fire Chief appointed January 1, 1959, and 24-hour service beginning February 1, 1961.

Highlights the district's growth to 35 full-time firefighters and paramedics under Fire Chief Kevin J. Stenson, including pioneering ambulance service in 1954 and paramedic services beginning in 1978.

Directs the presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the Norwood Park Fire Protection District as a symbol of esteem and respect.
