Congratulates Pastor Joseph B. Gordon on his 20th anniversary in the ministry.

Recognizes Gordon's educational credentials including a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

Acknowledges Gordon's leadership roles including senior pastor positions in Illinois and Michigan, service on multiple religious and community boards, and receipt of the Styberg Award for excellence in homiletics and the 2011 Outstanding Minister Award.

Notes the celebration of Gordon's anniversary will be held August 13-14, 2016 at the Martinique Banquet Complex Grand Ballroom in Burbank.

Directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Pastor Gordon as a symbol of esteem and respect from the Illinois House of Representatives.
