Congratulates Dr. Barbara Henley on her retirement as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Associate Professor of Educational Policy Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Recognizes Dr. Henley's 20 years of service as the longest-serving Vice Chancellor in the entire University of Illinois system history, administering a 550-member Student Affairs division.

Highlights her establishment of fundraising initiatives including an endowed scholarship fund, leadership of student life construction projects, and oversight of student learning programs including the UIC Experience and Student Veterans Resource Center.

Notes her extensive service on university committees since 1996, including the Chancellor's Cabinet, provost search committees, and steering committees for NCAA recertification and September 11 commemoration.

Acknowledges her numerous professional honors including the 2014 Mary Herrick Scholarship Fund Lifetime Achievement Award, 2007 State Farm Phenomenal Woman Award, and 2015 National Association of Black Women in Higher Education Leadership Award.
