Recognizes the 90th anniversary of the founding of Saint Tarcissus Catholic Parish in Chicago, established in 1926 by Father Hayden under Cardinal Mundelein's appointment.

The original church structure was built by parishioners; a social center was added in 1954 after the cornerstone for the present church was laid on May 23, 1953.

The current church held its first Mass on Easter Sunday 1954 and was formally dedicated by Cardinal Stritch on July 25, 1954.

Saint Tarcissus has served the Gladstone Park neighborhood as a multicultural parish uniting Roman Catholics of Bohemian, Filipino, Irish, Italian, German, Mexican, Polish, Puerto Rican, and Slovak descent.

A family prayer garden was installed on the east side of the rectory in 2008 to bring young people together through prayer.
