Illinois House of Representatives congratulates The Courtyard on its 25th anniversary of supporting Wellness House, established in 1991 by eight women whose lives were touched by cancer.

The Courtyard has generated more than $4 million in proceeds to Wellness House, with volunteers donating over 100,000 hours valued at $2 million.

The organization currently operates with more than 60 volunteers, including a dozen who process and price items on Mondays and over 50 customer service and sales staff members.

Fifteen individuals including Terri Barrett, Peggy Claffo, and Anne Emmons have served as volunteers with The Courtyard since its first year.

House directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to The Courtyard as a symbol of esteem and respect.
