Congratulates John Sayers on his retirement after 17 years of service with the Kewanee Public Library District, where he served as Director since April 1999.

Recognizes his major accomplishment of overseeing the renovation and restoration of the Carnegie library building to serve the community.

Acknowledges his service in multiple leadership roles including Chairman of the RSA Users Group (2004-2016), Treasurer of the Kewanee Areas Arts Council, and positions with Rotary International and Kiwanis International.

Notes his receipt of the Dr. Luis V. Amador Medallion Award from Kiwanis International and his contributions to community fundraising for the hospital and Abilities Plus.

Directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to John Sayers as a symbol of the House's esteem and respect.
