Congratulates Dave Janaes on his retirement from the West Chicago Fire Protection District after 53 years of dedicated service.

Acknowledges his service as a volunteer/paid-on-call firefighter from 1963 to 1992, followed by service as Trustee and President of the District Board from 1992 to 2016.

Notes that Engine 5, a 2015 Ferrara Fire Engine, was named in his honor by the West Chicago Fire Protection District Board and will carry his name for its entire service life.

Recognizes Janaes as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of Illinois.

Directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dave Janaes as a symbol of esteem and respect.
