House Resolution congratulating Bill Puhse and Amy Heath for receiving the 2016 Best School Blood Drive Coordinator Award from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers.

Puhse and Heath have organized blood drives at Granite City High School and in the community since 2009 as co-sponsors of the school's National Honor Society.

Their 27 blood drives have collected nearly 3,000 units of blood with the potential to save approximately 12,000 lives.

Four blood drives are held annually under their leadership—two at the high school and two in the community—with successful outreach to parents and alumni.

Resolution directs suitable copies be presented to Puhse and Heath as an expression of esteem and respect for their commitment to ensuring a healthy blood supply.
