Congratulates Ronald P. Cooley of Petersburg on his retirement as Executive Director of the Illinois State Police Merit Board, effective December 31, 2016

Recognizes Cooley's service as Executive Director since January 1, 2008, and his role in establishing Public Act 97-1051 and the State Police Merit Board Public Safety Fund for dedicated Illinois State Police cadet training

Acknowledges Cooley's prior service as Deputy Chief of Staff for Intergovernmental Operations under Comptroller Dawn Clark Netsch and Deputy Director for Intergovernmental Affairs under Secretary of State Jesse White

Notes Cooley's continued volunteer commitments including service as President of the Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation, volunteer work at the Peoria Area Food Bank, and board service on the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation Board and DuQuoin State Bank Board
