Illinois House of Representatives recognizes Jerry Trecek for his 45 years of service as Executive Director of Peoria Rescue Ministries.

Peoria Rescue Ministries has grown under Trecek's leadership to five locations in Peoria and two in eastern Europe, with over 50 employees and annual revenues exceeding three million dollars.

In 2015, the ministry served over 70,000 meals at an average cost of six cents each and provided nearly 28,000 nights of lodging through multiple programs.

Trecek helped establish Victory Acres, the Barnabas Center, the Women's Pregnancy Center, the Ester House, and a thrift store.

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to Jerry Trecek as an expression of the House's esteem and respect.
