Congratulates Edward W. Paesel on his retirement as Executive Director of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association.

Paesel earned a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in 1971 and a master's degree in History from Illinois State University in 1973.

Served as Executive Director of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association since 2000, representing 43 communities in southern Cook and Will Counties; previously served as Mayor of Sauk Village from 1977 to 1989 and Director of the Third Airport Information Clearinghouse from 1989 to 2000.

Chairs the Land Use Committee and serves on the Planning Coordinating Committee for the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and sits on the South Suburban Land Bank Board, Chicago Southland Fiber Network Board, and Cook County Economic Development Advisory Committee.

Directs the House to present Paesel with a suitable copy of the resolution as a symbol of esteem and respect.
