Opposes consideration or passage of any income tax increase during a "lame duck" special session of the Illinois General Assembly between January 1, 2017 and January 11, 2017

States that significant state policies, particularly tax policies, should be set by legislators with recent accountability to voters rather than those in a "lame duck" period

Asserts that income tax increases would be harmful to families and job creators in Illinois

Calls for copies of the resolution to be delivered to the Governor, Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives, and President of the Illinois Senate
