Congratulates Pamela K. Church, Chief of Police for the Western Springs Police Department, on her retirement.

Chief Church was appointed Director of Law Enforcement Services for the Village of Western Springs in November 2005 and began her law enforcement career in 1983 as a patrol officer with the Downers Grove Police Department.

Held various positions at Downers Grove Police Department including Police Counselor, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Accreditation Manager, and Deputy Chief; helped establish an award-winning community oriented policing program.

Received multiple honors including the Outstanding Alumni Award from Decatur Public Schools (2006), Illinois State Bar Association Law Enforcement Award (2009), Chief of the Year from Illinois Crime Prevention Association (2011), and Award of Excellence in Police Administration (2012).

Holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University, a master's degree in criminal social justice from Lewis University, and graduated from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety's School of Police Staff and Command.
