Honors State Representative Donald L. Moffitt on his retirement from the Illinois House of Representatives after representing the 74th District (formerly 94th) since 1992.

Recognizes Moffitt's career including service as a high school agriculture teacher, Alderman and Mayor of Oneida, Knox County Board member and Chair, and Knox County Treasurer from 1984 to 1992.

Acknowledges his legislative priorities including fire prevention and response, agricultural initiatives, local government improvements, and school bus safety measures.

Highlights extensive committee service including roles as member and Minority Spokesperson of Agriculture and Conservation Committee, Chair of Fire Protection Committee (2007-2010), and Co-Chair of Fire Funding Task Force and EMS Task Force.

Recognizes numerous awards received throughout his career from organizations including Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts, Illinois EMS Alliance, and others; notes he is survived by his wife Carolyn, three children, and eight grandchildren.
