Congratulates Representative Ed Sullivan of Mundelein on his distinguished service to Illinois constituents and the state.

Sullivan served in the Illinois House since 2003 and was re-elected to six consecutive terms, representing portions of Lake County and Cook County.

Landmark legislative achievements include passage of the Illinois Anti-Gang initiative in 2009 and serving as lead Republican negotiator and Chief Co-Sponsor of the Illinois concealed carry law in 2013.

Sullivan was one of only three Republican House members to support the Illinois Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act of 2013, which legalized same-sex marriage in Illinois.

Sullivan received numerous awards including Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Public Official of the Year, Illinois Farm Bureau Activator Award, and multiple recognitions from business and conservation organizations.
